Gaston Berger University restaurant
Gaston Berger University in Marseille called on the services of Validex to help with the renovation of its university restaurant, which serves around 1,000 meals every lunchtime.
Validex's objective was to meet two distinct challenges: to create 2 drop-off areas located on 2 different floors, transporting trays to a single wash-up area; and to improve food waste management.
Validex has designed and manufactured :
- 2 cord conveyor systems with sorting station for non-food waste
- 1 vertical angle conveyor to transport trays from the second floor to the wash-up area on the first floor
- 1 system for combining the trays coming off the vertical conveyor and those coming from the ground floor drop-off area into a single line
- 1 food waste grinding station positioned under the conveyor and equipped with two holes for emptying waste from plates allowing two operators positioned at the dishwasher entrance to load the dishes into the dishwasher
- 1 tank with a capacity of 5,000 L for storing organic waste for recycling

Validex creates tailor-made equipment for the organization of restaurant wash-up areas and offers solutions for the treatment of organic waste.
